CH40’s Lava Zone EP is inspired by Werner Herzog’s documentary film - “Into the Inferno”.
Comparing himself to a volcanologist, deeply exploring different styles and genres he calls “magmatic sound”. It demonstrates his rich spectrum of music production as he immerses himself in stillness and a state of absence of meaning. In this emptiness, some sounds emerge, which the composer imagines sound as a magma in which an enormous unrestrained energy is contained.

Every track has its own mood and direction from hardcore to dub, from hypnotic polyrhythm to UK techno, high energy record with extreme dynamics and groove.
